How To Use A Whimsy Stick
Well you asked for it! Here is a tutorial on how to use a Whimsy Stick and how to make a big beautiful blooming rose.
Large Ribbon Roses
If you would like to make a large rose, you will need: a Large Set of Whimsy Sticks, 1" reversible satin ribbon in pinks, narrow masking tape, a straight stitch sewing machine, and a needle and thread.
- One package of 1" ribbon will make 1 large rose (and maybe a bud)
- Two packages will make 2-3 medium sized roses
These large roses can be seen on my sweater in the biophoto above. I can honestly say, I have made 6-8 of each color rose and have put pin backs on them. I am continually wearing them in different arrangements and on different clothing and accessories. So, how will you use your roses?
On that note...I'd like to issue a challenge!

Small Roses, Large Roses, they all Smell Sweet!
To make the small roses shown above, use 3/8" satin ribbon and the Small set of Whimsy Sticks. Each package of 3/8" ribbon can make 6-8 single loop (sew on one edge only, no folding) roses. Or make trim and sew spaghetti along the top for trim.
